HORCHATA WITH OATMILK is a raw, funny, and heartfelt indie dramedy that dives into the complexities of Latino identity, gentrification, and the pursuit of clout in modern-day Los Angeles. At the center is Chunks (played by Daniel Do Know Lopez), a wannabe micro-influencer whose wild schemes to go viral might be the only shot at saving his family's home from getting swallowed by the ever-encroaching wave of gentrification. Fresh out of prison and fresh out of patience, his older brother Flaco (Jerry Garcia) is caught between the urge to stay clean and the lure of the street life he knows too well. Add in Tío Maniacs (Cristian "Concrete" Gutierrez), a slick, streetwise uncle with more scams than solutions, and you've got a powder keg of family drama, comedy, and cultural clash. Blending humor with grit, Horchata with Oatmilk is an unapologetically LA Latino story-equal parts hood comedy and social commentary-that asks: How do you hold onto your roots in a city that's constantly trying to price you out?
