The documentary also examines the darker elements surrounding his music and persona, including his fascination with the occult, sorcery, voodoo and hoodoo; the fear and controversy surrounding Memphis during the era of the West Memphis Three murders; and Lord Infamous’ own accounts of overdosing, dying multiple times and experiencing what he described as Hell.

This is also the story of an innovative artist whose flows, voices and rapid-fire delivery helped lay a foundation that can still be heard throughout hip-hop today — and of the personal struggles that followed him as Three 6 Mafia rose from homemade underground tapes in Memphis to worldwide success.
